Founded within the CHIMEI Corporation plant, and in the following year (1965), CHIMEI Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Mitsubishi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. jointly established CHILIN Resin Company to produce PE (polyethylene) processed products. The founder, Wen-Long Hsu, served as the first chairman.
