Security

A. Purpose

This CHIMEI Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) Information Security Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) is established for enhancing information security and quality by implementing an Information Security Management System (ISMS). This ensures business sustainability by protecting the Company’s data, application systems, equipment, and network infrastructure.

B. Reference

The Policy is based on the most current version of the ISO/IEC 27001 international standard for information security management systems.

C. Responsibility

I. Creating and updating of the Policy must be authorized and approved by the Information Security Task Force or designated representative. II. The Information Security Task Force shall evaluate the Policy on an annual basis and present its findings to the Management Review Committee in consideration of the latest regulations, technologies, and business trends for ensuring the effectiveness of information security and business practices.

D. Contents

I. Information Security Objectives

(I) Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Company’s information assets to ensure the confidentiality of clients’ data; all staff shall achieve the following objectives:

1. Safeguard the confidentiality, correctness, and integrity of the Company’s information in preventing any unauthorized access and modification. 2. Establish an Information Security Task Force in responsible for establishing, promoting, implementing, evaluating, and improving of the information security environment for business continuity. 3. Provide information security training, education, and promotion for enhancing staff’s awareness and responsibility. 4. Implement risk assessment to promote the effectiveness of information security management. 5. Conduct internal audits at planned intervals to ensure the effectiveness of information security management and continual improvement.

(II) Information security objectives shall be measured and recorded. The results of the objective measurements shall be reported to the Management Review Committee at least once per year.

Robust information management, stable business operation, effective information security, and sustainable provision of business services.

III. Information Security Management Controls

Information security management covers information security policy establishment and evaluation; organization of information security; human resource security; asset management; access control; cryptography; physical and environmental security; operations security; communications security; system acquisition, development and maintenance; supplier relationships; information security incident management; information security aspects of business continuity management; and compliance.

IV. Information Security Policy Awareness

Provide information security awareness programs on a regular basis to promote staff’s responsibilities and information security mindset.

V. Information Security Implementation

Establish an Information Security Task Force with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to ensure that relevant concepts on the information security management system is communicated internally and externally, thereby enhancing the Company’s information security management system.
